Fabric Lantern Craft Workshop

Saturday, 9 March 2019 @ 1:00 pm - 3:00 pm

£15

Join Sarah Sewell from Wildgoose Designs for a hands-on session of lantern-making. Using vintage and recycled fabrics, Sarah will help you to design and make a one-of-a-kind indoor lantern. Visitors will produce 1 lantern to take home, as well as learning the skills to make more themselves. All materials will be provided.

Throughout 2019, Nottingham Industrial Museum are bringing you a series of craft workshops which celebrate the home-industries of Nottingham, past and present. We’re covering a huge range of crafts, from centuries-old traditions to amazing new artisan techniques. We’re using recycled materials wherever possible so your designs can be as eco-conscious as possible. See our events leaflet for the full schedule of workshops. We have designed these sessions as tasters for each craft technique so beginners are welcome.

Pre-booking is essential, so please email events@nottinghamindustrialmuseum.co.uk to book your place.

£15 per person, including admission to the museum. Payment will be taken on the day. Please note parking charges for Wollaton Park do apply.
