Bobbin Lace Craft Workshop
Saturday, 14 September 2019 @ 1:00 pm - 3:00 pm£5
Join members of the Nottinghamshire Bobbin Lace Society for a workshop on Bobbin Lace. These intricate hand-made designs were a big part of Nottingham’s lace industry and our course leaders have decades of experience in the techniques. Participants will learn the basic skills and take home their first sample. All equipment will be provided on the day. And you can buy equipment kits and books on the day if you’d like to continue learning at home.
Throughout 2019, Nottingham Industrial Museum are bringing you a series of craft workshops which celebrate the home-industries of Nottingham, past and present. We’re covering a huge range of crafts, from centuries-old traditions to amazing new artisan techniques. We’re using recycled materials wherever possible so your designs can be as eco-conscious as possible. See our events leaflet for the full schedule of workshops. We have designed these sessions as tasters for each craft technique so beginners are welcome.
Pre-booking is essential, so please email email@example.com to book your place.
£5 per person, including admission to the museum. Payment will be taken on the day. Please note parking charges for Wollaton Park do apply.
