Whenever Nottingham Industrial Museum is open, we welcome families and work hard to make your day enjoyable.
Make the most of our fun range of children’s activities, including colouring competitions, trails and badge making.
Activities take place in the Museum and are free (small charge for badge making materials). With our kids go free policy, our children’s activities make the museum an ideal destination any weekend. Normal museum entry charges apply for adults and concessions.
All the activities are suitable for children of all ages.
We also have miniature engines on display in addition to a model railway and working vintage telephone exchange. And children love making calls on our retro switchboard.
As the museum is usually quieter on our non-steaming days, they are an ideal time for you to explore our displays of local industrial heritage. Exhibits include lace making, telecommunications, printing, mining, motorcycles, bicycle making and much more. Don’t forget to ask one of our volunteers for a family tour.
If it’s nice weather why not bring a picnic and take a stroll around the park? You can feed the birds on the lake, admire the beautiful deer and have your photo taken at Wayne Manor from the Batman film.
